You have the choice of how you want to apply to us:
After reviewing your application, we will invite you to our location in Berlin-Neukölln if you are suitable. We are all about driving, so we will start with a test drive together. Please bring your driver's license, driver qualification certificate, driver card and original identity card or passport. Afterwards, we'll have a chat where you can ask any questions and we'll be happy to tell you more about BVB.net.
In occasional transportation (charter/travel) and in the sightseeing sector, we pay €16.16 gross per hour in accordance with the collective agreement.
Im Bereich ÖPNV zahlen wir einen Bruttostundenlohn von 17,21€.
There are also bonuses and expenses. You can calculate your possible gross monthly salary here, for example >To the salary calculator
We offer you security and predictability and guarantee you a monthly salary of at least €2,747 gross. This means that we don't have a winter break and we pay 170 paid guaranteed hours per month. If your working hours are reduced for operational reasons, we still guarantee 170 paid hours per month for a full-time position. Regardless of this, paid overtime is possible.
Breaks are not paid, but waiting times for an order and necessary empty runs are part of your working time and are remunerated accordingly.
Our permanent and collectively bargained employees in the transport service receive a gross Christmas bonus payment of € 550. Temporary staff, for example, are excluded.
Almost all of our tours start and end at our depot in 12057 Berlin-Neukölln, Grenzallee 15, but in the case of public transport operations, your service may start directly at the location, e.g. in Zehlendorf/Wannsee, Kladow or Hermsdorf
Our fleet consists of Mercedes-Benz Citaro Hybrid (compact coaches, solo coaches, articulated buses), Mercedes-Benz Tourismo, MAN Lions Coach, Neoplan Cityliner, Setra 531.
We are active in three transport sectors:
Basically, we want all our drivers to be willing to drive in charter/travel transport as well as in the public transport and sightseeing sectors. This is the best way to ensure that we can cover for each other and react flexibly to changes.
We currently operate 6 lines on behalf of Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), mainly in the southwest of Berlin:
Changes to the lines are possible. We also serve other lines on a selective basis, for example line 377, which is currently "on our doorstep" in Neukölln.
No, our buses are deployed as the order situation requires.
As a driver, you are responsible for handing over the buses to our yard service in an appropriate condition after use. This means that after arriving at the depot, you remove coarse dirt from the bus, drive the vehicle through our automatic washing system and refuel the bus. Intensive cleaning of the bus is carried out at night by our hard-working cleaning staff.
We are proud that we can offer the mandatory module training courses for regular renewal of the bus driver's license in-house and free of charge for our employees. This not only allows us to respond better to individual needs, but also facilitates an internal exchange between colleagues.
The driver safety training that we regularly offer for our drivers is a nice change and enrichment for safety.
We will exempt you from the necessary public transport training for BVG traffic.
Our full-time bus drivers work at least 170 hours a month. If you would like to work less, we also offer part-time contracts.
In principle, paid overtime is also possible with us. If you work more than 192 hours per month, we pay an overtime premium of 25 percent.
The working hours are individual and are determined and communicated by our scheduling department on the basis of the order situation.
You will always receive the binding duty roster by e-mail one day in advance and see your orders in our app for the driving service. We do everything we can to send services to our employees as far in advance as possible. However, as a team we also have to react to the unexpected, such as changes to orders by customers or absences due to illness. Unfortunately, it is therefore unavoidable that we have to adjust services at short notice.
Yes, this is generally possible. Our scheduling team is always ready to listen and you can also submit requests for days off, duty requests and vacation.
For our full-time employees, we try to implement the 6 days on / 2 days off model. Nevertheless, we have to be able to react flexibly to unexpected events and appreciate the understanding of our drivers in the event of deviating work rhythms.
Vacation days increase according to length of service, starting at 25 and up to 30 working days per year.
Do you see your future behind the wheel as a bus driver at BVB.net in Berlin? We currently only train bus drivers as part of vocational training/first-time training (no lateral entry).
School graduation is approaching and you are looking for a varied and well-founded vocational training? Then you've come to the right place.
We currently offer three apprenticeships:
Specialist driver (m/f/d), professional driver (m/f/d), motor vehicle mechatronics technician specializing in commercial vehicle technology (m/f/d)
Our human resources team will get back to you as soon as possible.
In the meantime: We have compiled many answers to frequently asked questions in our FAQ section for applications in the field of driving personnel.
